VFL Wolfsburg could loan out Victor Osimhen in the summer

German Bundesliga side, VFL Wolfsburg is considering loaning out Victor Osimhen at the end of the season. According to Wolfsburg Allgemeine, the city of Wolfsburg newspaper, The club would have loaned the 2015 FIFA Under 17 World Cup top scorer during the winter transfer window, but because Mario Gomez, who was the club’s top striker was sold to VfB Stuttgart.

Liverpool’s loanee, Divock Origi will be gone in the summer, and the club has to find a good centre-forward. Apart from Origi, the club currently has two strikers. Nany Dimata and Victor Osimhen. There are reports that amongst these two players, only one will remain at the club next season, and this will largely depend on the outcome of the relegation battle the club is currently in.

VFL Wolfsburg is on 15th spot with 29 points, just 2 points above the relegation zone and must play Mainz who are behind them and with 27 points on the final day of the season.

While Dimata is an integral part of the club’s plans for 2018/19, they would like to loan out Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian, who won the CAF youth player of the year award in 2015, joined VFL Wolfsburg officially in January 2017.

The 19-year-old is yet to score in his 13 league appearances (including three in the starting line-up)

omasports gathered that, If the club remains in the Bundesliga, it would very likely agree to a loan – preferably in the 2nd division, which is known as Bundesliga 2.

Dimata, on the other hand, is also without a goal for the club and was speculated to be on his way out of the club in winter.

There were offers from England, France and his native Belgium, but the Wolfsburg city club did not let him go. As they think, that if the club goes into relegation. he Dimata would be very useful in helping the club return to the Bundesliga.
