Despite the scintillating performance of the Super Eagles in the world cup qualifiers double header against Cameroon, they have dropped from 38th to 44th position in the latest Coca Cola FIFA ranking.

The AFCON 2013 winners now occupy the 5th position in Africa as the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon also dropped 10 places from 35th to 45th in the world and 6th in Africa.

However, Nigeria’s next opponents, Zambia – who beat Algeria on both ties of their World cup Qualifiers clash, rose up from 96th to 78th in the world while Algeria bided goodbye to the top 50 as they dropped to 62nd position.
