French club Nice have signed teenage sensation Victor Orakpo, edging Tottenham and Newcastle in the race to secure the services of the 18-year-old striker.
Bayern Munich and AC Milan were also linked to the Nigerian.
Orakpo came into the limelight during an international tournament organised by Bayern Munich in 2022, where he was named the tournament’s MVP. His impressive performances caught the eye of quite a few clubs from across Europe.
Given the kind of potential Orakpo has, he is not expected to be a part of their academy for long. The teenager could soon get the chance to showcase his talent for the French club’s first team.
