Sergio Ramos agent quashes contract-termination rumours

Sergio Ramos’ agent Rene has said the defender is not planning to quit or break his contract with Paris Saint-Germain despite his injury setbacks at the Parisian club.

Since his move to PSG from Real Madrid in the summer, Ramos has not played a minute for the Ligue 1 giants because of a persistent calf problem.

The Spanish defender suffered another injury setback last month and that sparked rumours that PSG were ready to agree to a contract termination. But those rumours have now been dismissed.

“Sergio Ramos is not planning to retire or break his contract,” Rene told El Mundo. “There is no doubt about Sergio. It’s a physical problem, he will play when he can.”

However, PSG has confirmed that Ramos is scheduled to resume training next week. Barring any setback, he could make his debut against Nantes on November 20 after the international break.
