Tottenham’s young defender Japhet Tanganga has hailed Jose Mourinho as an amazing manager that has made the Tottenham players tactically better and smarter.
Tanganga told OmaSports during the press conference ahead of Tottenham’s final Europa League game against Royal Antwerp. He said this when asked how it feels working under a great manager like Mourinho and the impact the Special One has on his development.
“It’s amazing honestly, I’ve said it before,” the 21year old said.
“I’ve learnt so much in terms of how much attention he pays to the game, not only on helping me defensively and helping me with some aspects to improve on but also with the tactical side, game awareness side.
“The amount of knowledge he has and the amount of help he’s giving to us as a team and not only me, to manage the game and tactically be better and smarter, so it’s amazing working under a manager with his status and honestly I wish to continue working with him because he’s amazing.”
Tanganga was given his full Premier League debut by Mourinho in January in a 0-1 loss to Liverpool but has played limited minutes due to a series of injuries.
