Messi Apologies After Being Suspended By His Club

Lionel Messi has apologized to his teammates and says he is waiting for what the club wants to do with him after making an unapproved trip to Saudi Arabia.

PSG had earlier in the week suspended Messi for the next two weeks.

The incidents came after Messi played the whole 90 minutes in PSG’s home defeat to Lorient last Sunday.

The Argentine world cup winner has been offered an option to extend his contract with the club before his trip, with his two years contract at the club set to expire at the end of the season.

It is understood, Messi asked for permission to travel to Asia for a commercial job, but PSG refused to grant his approval.

” I thought we were going to have a day off as always. I had this trip organized and couldn’t cancel it. I had already canceled it before…”

” I apologize to my teammates and I’m waiting for what the club wants to do to me”.

The 35-year-old has been linked with a return to his former club Barcelona, with the Spanish club facing both financial and corruption cases.

There are also rumors the Argentine has opened talks to accept a 400m euros per year offer from Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, while a move to David Beckham’s Inter Miami in the United States has been on the ground for a while.
