PSG striker Kylian Mbappé (24) is expected to be named in PSG’s squad to face Bayern Munich for their Champions League last 16 first leg, according to a report from Le Parisien.
The 24-year-old completed part of the training session with the Parisian players who did not play, or played litte part, during Les Parisiens‘ loss against Monaco yesterday.
This was the first time, since his thigh strain sustained during PSG’s win at Montpellier on February 1, that Mbappé has worked outdoors by performing exercises other than those which are part of his rehabilitation, even concluding the session with a few strikes on goal.
The 24-year-old France international is now expected to, at least, start on the bench against the Julian Nagelsmann-led side. Italian midfielder Marco Verratti (30) also resumed training yesterday.
Meanwhile, Argentine playmaker Lionel Messi (35) trained individually. Le Parisien report that French full-back Nordi Mukiele (25) and Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches (25) are the only senior PSG players expected to miss out on the Champions League clash.
