Borussia Dortmund have fired manager Lucien Favre after their biggest home loss in over a decade, according to Sports Bild.
Dortmund were thrashed 5-1 at the Signal Iduna park by Stuttgart much to the dismay of fans who have in recent weeks been calling for the departure of the Swiss.
Yesterday’s loss further added fuel to the little fire, a loss Mat Hummels spoke openly about and questioned Favre’s tactics.
Favre was appointed in May 2018 and won his first 15 games in charge. He surrendered a wide lead to Bayern Munich last season on their way to winning their 8th consecutive La Liga.
