Manchester City summer signing Josko Gvardiol says he hopes there are ‘many more to come’ after winning a trophy on his debut in the UEFA Super Cup.
Speaking to Omasports after Man City’s victory over Sevilla in Athens, Greece on Wednesday, Gvardiol said, “I am happy it’s my first game and my first trophy and I hope many more to come. “I feel comfortable and we believe in ourselves and I am happy to be surrounded by class players and I just need to enjoy the moment.
The 21-year-old Croatian defender signed this summer for 90m euros from RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga to City, who claimed a historic Treble last season.
Gvardiol tells Omasports that he dreams of such a feat and hopes City can replicate last season’s success this term – now that he is with the club “What they did last season is something I dream about and hopefully we are going to do it again.”
