Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has compared Egyptian star Mohamed Salah to Lionel Messi in terms of achievements and skillsets.
Salah who currently plays for Liverpool has a lot of speculations surrounding his future and while commenting on a possible Bayern Munich interest, he admired and likened the Egyptian to the best players in the world.
“In my opinion, Salah is the Messi of Africa and of course he has the skills to play for the best teams in the world. What he has achieved can be compared to what Messi and Ronaldo did with Barcelona and Real Madrid.” Rummenigge told ON Time Sports, via Goal.
Salah and Messi are both very similar in skill sets, both are left footed with great speed, dribbling techniques and powerful shooters. Both are winners with 13 league titles and five champions league titles, over 800 goals and many individual awards between them.
“At the moment we don’t plan on signing Salah, but certainly it would be an honour to have him,” Rummenigge said.
Salah is leading the English league scorer charts with 16 goals in Liverpool’s title defence despite slipping further down the table with their poor form lately.
