Patrick Bamford scored on his return to Chelsea with a well taken goal but Marcelo Biesla’s men were beaten by an in-form Chelsea.
Bamford grew through the Chelsea academy and was a member of the loan army for years before moving on permanently. He opened the scoring in the fourth minute.
Chelsea came back through Olivier Giroud who tapped him from Reece James. Kurt Zouma scored a header from a Mason Mount’s corner, his fourth of the season to put the Blues ahead before American winger Christian Pulisic scored late on to seal the victory.
The win put Chelsea on top of the table with Liverpool and Tottenham yet to play.
