Kovac- We Want To Win The Double

Bayern Munich manager, Niko Kovac has stated unequivocally that they, Bayern wants to win the double when they take on RB Leipzig on Saturday the 25th of May in Berlin.

The Bavarians faced RB Leipzig with one game to go, on their way to winning their seventh league title in succession and 29th in total, the game ended in a goalless draw. Knowing full well what RB Leipzig offers, the Bayern Munich manager is already looking forward to a week of intense work to get his boys fully ready for the Cup final. While the team celebrated the league win with their fans, Kovac had his mind on the next vital assignment. While speaking before a large crowd at the event, Kovac said:

“We like to state clearly that we want to win the double. Standing in our way is an excellent opponent, and we can not underrate anyone. We saw that last year. We want to concentrate our work on the cup final from next week, and I can promise you all that we shall put in everything and win the cup.”

Bayern Munich lost the cup final last season 1-3 to Eintracht Frankfurt, the same opponent they triumphed against to win this season’s league title. Eintracht Frankfurt had Niko Kovac then as a manager. He later joined Bayern at the start of the 2018/2019 season.
