Red Bull Liepzig attacker, Yusuf Poulsen has stated his reasons for choosing Denmark over Tanzania. Poulsen was born the European country to a Tanzanian father and Danish mother but has chosen to represent his country of birth.
He however said he is still very close to his roots and has visited many times in the past.
”I’ve been living in Denmark all my life, I’ve played in the youth national teams. When I had a call from the Danish national team, I had to choose Denmark because my mother is Danish too. I have lots of families in Tanzania. I’ve visited there many times and I’ll visit again this summer. I love Tanzania and they have lots of good stuff,” Poulsen told Omasport.
