Schalke 04 have for the second time this season fired a coach after multiple reports emerge from Germany that coach Manuel Baum has been fired and Huub Stevens would be in charge temporarily, his fourth spell as Schalke manager.

Baum took over from David Wagner on September 30 after Wagner led the club on an 18 games winless run dating back to last season

Baum won none of his 10 league games in charge and leaves the club bottom of the Bundesliga table with four points and a minus 27 goal difference.

His only win came in the first round of the DFB Cup against the regional league team Schweinfurt 05 in November.

The club continues to be without a win in 2020 and would play newly promoted Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday.
