Alexander-Arnold Makes England Euro2020 Squad, Jesse Lingard Misses Out

Liverpool’s right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has been called up in England’s 26man squad for the European Championships while there’s no place for Jesse Lingard.

Arnold was dropped for the international break in March with reports from the British media suggesting Gareth Southgate doesn’t fancy the Liverpool man, but he has now been called up for the tournament.

Resurgent Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard misses out despite enjoying a stellar second half of the season on loan at West Ham United, helping the hammers qualify for the Europa League.

James Ward-Prowse, Ollie Watkins, Mason Greenwood, Ben Godfrey, Ben White and Aaron Ramsdale are all other dropped ones from the 3man squad.

England are drawn in Group D against Croatia who eliminated them in the 2018 FIFA World Cup semifinal, Scotland and Czech Republic.
