It’s hard to put into words how we feel – Leverkusen’s Tella 

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Nathan Tella spoke about their Europa League final loss to Atalanta on Wednesday night, saying it’s a feeling that’s hard to express in words. 

Atalanta outclassed Leverkusen 3-0 on the night, thanks to a hattrick from Ademola Lookman. The defeat was Leverkusen’s first in all competitions this season. 

“It’s not a surprise the way Atalanta played,” the 23-year-old Nigerian told Omasports. “We expect every team to play well, we show every team respect. 

“But it’s hard to put into words how we feel because we just lost a final.”

Leverkusen though have had a fantastic season. They won the Bundesliga title and will have another shot at a second title this season when they take on Kaiserslautern in the DFB Pokal final this weekend.
