Ronaldo clears locker room at Juventus ahead of transfer to Manchester City
According to a report by Spanish newspaper, AS, Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Juventus to join Manchester City.
Transfer speciliast Fabrizio Romano reports that Ronaldo has already said goodbye to his teammates and informed them of his change.
Sky Sport Italia adds that Ronaldo has already cleared his locker in the changing room. However, the change is not yet official. Juventus are demanding €29 million for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
The Italians wanted to keep Ronaldo, but the 36-year-old Portuguese insisted on joining City, even though he played for Manchester United from 2003 to 2009.
Wayne Rooney, Ronaldo’s teammate at United, thinks a possible move to the Etihad is not in order.
“It’s interesting, but I can’t imagine it,” Rooney, 35, said. “I don’t think anyone with Cristiano’s legacy will go to City. Everyone knows that I could never play for Liverpool or Manchester City.”
