Xavi to step down as Barca boss at end of season

Xavi Hernandez will step down as coach of Spanish side Barcelona at the end of the season.

The announcement was made following Barcelona’s 5-3 defeat at home to Valencia on Saturday.

The former Barcelona and Spain midfielder took charge in November 2021 after leaving Qatari side Al Sadd.

He guided them to the Spanish title in his first full season in charge in 2022-23.

Barcelona are currently third in La Liga but 10 points below leaders Real Madrid.
