Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Granit Xhaka sings Nathan Tella’s praises
Bayer Leverkusen’s midfielder Granit Xhaka has praised teammate Nathan Tella for choosing to play for Nigeria – following the Germans 4-0 victory over Union Berlin in the Bundesliga over the weekend.
Tella scored his first Bundesliga goal – the fourth of the match – as Leverkusen returned to the top of the standings.
Tella, born in England, has been called up to the Nigerian national team and will represent the Super Eagles during this international break, and Xhaka shares the sentiment of supporters.
Speaking exclusively to Oma Sports, Xhaka, who joined Leverkusen from Arsenal in July, said: “First of all he is a lively guy, secondly, he has a lot of speed and good finishing as well.”
“I am so happy for him that he decided now for one country he can play for.”
