Man United manager Erik ten Hag remains tight-lipped on Victor Osimhen transfer speculations
Following Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat by Real Madrid in Houston, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag said club officials were working “24/7” to get a deal done for a new forward, when he was asked about speculations linking Napoli star forward Victor Osimhen to Old Trafford.
Responding to Christopher Osagie’s question, ten Hag remained evasive, saying: “We never talk about players in contract with another club. Our targets are in the background, and we are busy 24/7, working to get the right striker for us.”
Osimhen, 24, played a pivotal role in helping Napoli secure their first Serie A title in 30 years last season.
United, whose transfer budget is stretched because of new Financial Fair Play rules, are also interested in Eintracht Frankfurt’s French forward Randal Kolo Muani as well as Ajax’s Ghana international Mohammed Kudus, who can play both as an attacking midfielder and a centre forward.
