Nigeria’s Samuel Chukwueze set to join AC Milan from Villareal on 5-year deal
Italian giants AC Milan are set to sign Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze from Villareal on a five-year deal.
Chukwueze’s contract with Villarreal was due to expire at the end of the current campaign and the deal is believed to be done for €20m plus another €8m in various performance-related bonuses.
The 24-year-old left-footer, who’s made 28 appearances for Nigeria since his debut in 2018, is set to put pen to paper on a five-year contract and is the latest addition to the Milan attack with Christian Pulisic and Noah Okafor.
Milan are hopeful that Chukwueze will then be able to join Stefano Pioli and the rest of the Rossoneri squad in the United States to take part in the team’s pre-season tour.
Chukwueze joined Villareal’s senior team in 2018 from the B team and has made 155 appearances from the Yellow Submarine since then, scoring 21 goals.
