Nottingham Forest have reportedly opened talks with Leicester City over a summer transfer for Kelechi Iheanacho, with the Nigerian at the ‘top of the list’.
The striker has been with Leicester since joining the club from Manchester City in the summer of 2017. He has just one year remaining on his contract at the King Power Stadium, meaning that the club could be prepared to sell the player instead of losing him for nothing next year.
As reported by French journalist Santi Aouna , Forest have ‘opened talks’ to sign Iheanacho this summer. He adds that Forest want to ‘close the deal in the next days’.
Iheanacho has played a total 206 games for Leicester, scoring 55 goals and providing 33 assists. He also helped Leicester win the FA Cup in 2021.
