Arsenal’s Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with an ankle injury and will now miss the club’s last two games remaining this season.
The 21-year-old has been in sensational form this season, contributing 15 goals to Arsenal’s title pursuit, and is now out of their last two Premier League games of the season against Nottingham Forest and Wolves.
The Brazilian was removed for January signing Leandro Trossard in the early stages of the club’s home defeat to Brighton last Sunday and has now been confirmed out of the season with an ankle injury.
He is part of the four Arsenal players to have reached 10 goals and 5 assists in the Premier League this season, along with his compatriot Gabriel Jesus, England’s Bukayo Saka, and Martin Odergaard.
Arsenal will travel to Nottingham Forest on Saturday with almost nothing to play for again this season, as their title hopes are almost over, with Manchester City needing just a win in their remaining games to seal their third successive title.
