Manchester United midfielder, Marcel Sabitzer has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
The 29-year-old Austrian has made 18 appearances in all competitions for United since joining from Bayern Munich in January. He was brought to replace Christian Eriksen following the Danish’s injury in January.
The 20-time League winner Manchester United have released a statement confirming Sabitzer is out of the season, he will miss the club’s remaining three Premier League fixtures and FA Cup final against rivals Manchester City.
The midfielder last played for United in the club’s league defeat at West Ham two weeks ago, and if he has played his last match for the club is still uncertain, as the Old Trafford side are still yet to open talks about a permanent deal for the player.
Sabitzer is a Carabao Cup winner following United’s 2-0 victory over Newcastle United at the Wembley Stadium in February.
