Nigeria International and Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia striker Odion Ighalo has revealed that winning the AFC Champions League this year will be one of the most significant achievements in his career.

 Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds will host Saudi-based club Al-Hilal in the second leg tie of the Asian champions league later today. The first leg ended 1-1 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The former Manchester United striker spoke to Omasports exclusively before the crunch game. 

 ” I will say winning this trophy will be one of the biggest in my career because I have not won the Asia Champions League before. I have not played in any final of the competition before” ” Winning the trophy will add another accolade to my career. By God’s grace, tomorrow I’m going to give my best and try to help my team win.” the former Manchester striker said. Al-Hilal are the defending champions of the competetion. 


The two sides have met five times, including their first-leg clash last week. Al Hilal have two wins, while Urawa have been victorious once.

The two teams also contested the 2019 and 2017 finals, with Al Hilal and Urawa Reds winning, respectively.

Al Hilal are aiming for a record-extending fifth Champions League crown, while Urawa are seeking a third continental crown.
