Premier League: Haaland Breaks Salah’s Goalscoring Record

Manchester City and Norwegian striker Erling Haaland has set a new goalscoring record by becoming the outright top scorer in a 38-game Premier League season after scoring a late goal in City’s 4-1 victory over Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Norwegian has now scored 33 goals in the Premier League this season, a goal more than any other player has ever scored in a 38-game Premier League season.

The record was previously held by Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah with 32 goals since the 2017-18 season.

Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Luis Suarez are on 31 goals and held the record till the 2017-2018 season.

Former England striker Alan Shearer and Manchester United’s former striker Andrew Cole are still the joint top scorer in a Premier League season with 34 goals but their record came in a 42-game season.
