Our vision is to make Saudi Arabia a major football nation – Fahd bin Nafel

Fahd Bin Saad Bin Nafel, the president of the Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, praised the role the Saudi royal family played in the "exceptional" growth of the sport in the nation. These come after his team's rout of Qatari club Al-Duhail 7-0 in the semi-final.

Al Hilal are the reigning AFC Champions League winners. They only recently lost to Real Madrid in the FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco. They’ve now reached another champions league final and will face Urawa Reds of Japan.

“We played the final of FIFA Club world cup and now we again in the final of Asian champions league. We’re very proud of representing Saudi and inshallah one more step and we will lift the trophy”. He told Omasports exclusively in Doha.
