Erik ten Hag can call upon Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial against Nottingham Forest, with both forward players back in contention.
Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial will return for Manchester United’s EFL Cup semi-final second leg match against Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest, Erik ten Hag confirmed.
Sancho, 22, has not featured for Man United since October’s 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford bridge due to “circumstances with fitness and mood”.
Martial, 27, on the other hand, last appearance came in the win over Manchester City at Old Trafford last month; a game he was withdrawn at half-time.
The pair are back and available for selection for the Reds ahead of Today’s clash at Old Trafford but Scott McTominay remains out.
The hosts hold a commanding 3-0 lead from last week’s first leg at the city ground.
“We have some issues,” Ten Hag told club media on Tuesday.
“I think [Today] that Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho will return in the game squad, but Scott McTominay will still be absent.
“I think also the next game [against Crystal Palace] he will be absent. We have to see how that process will go. And for the rest, I think everyone is fit.
Erik Ten Hag’s men already have one foot — Barring an almighty comeback by Forest — in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley following last week dominant win and will face Newcastle United.
United last won the EFL Cup in the 2016-17 season.
