Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says Mohamed Salah is now back, following his Africa Cup of Nations campaign with Egypt in Cameroon.

Salah captained Egypt to the final, but the Pharaohs fell to Senegal on penalties to finish as runners-up, with a heartbroken Salah visibly in tears after the final.

The forward, who’s considered by many to be the best in the world at the moment, has now returned to Liverpool and is “looking forward to all the things coming up.”

“Mo is now back, I spoke already to him,” Klopp said. “He is very disappointed of course, but looking forward to all the things coming up here now.

“I spoke to him and pretty much the first thing Mo told me was: ‘I’m ready.’ Haha!”

Liverpool host Leicester City in the Premier League on Thursday, and Salah–the league’s leading goalscorer with 16 goals in 20 league appearances–will look to pick up from here he left off.
