Nigeria moves up in latest Fifa world ranking, now 3rd in Africa

Nigeria has moved up to 32nd in the updated Fifa men’s ranking, released 10 February, 2022. The West Africa nation is now 3rd in Africa, behind Morocco, ranked 24th and the continent’s champions, Senegal, now ranked inside the top 20 at 18th.

Egypt, beaten finalists at the recently-concluded Africa Cup of Nations, is two places below Nigeria in 34th, while Tunisia is in 36th place.

Ghana, meanwhile, is way below in 61st spot.

Belgium remains number one in the world, while Brazil and France are 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

San Marino is the least-ranked nation at 210, behind US Virgin Islands (207), British Virgin Islands (208) and Anguilla (209)
