Burkina Faso advanced to the semifinals of the Africa Cup of Nations, thanks to a 1-0 win over 2004 champions Tunisia.
Dango Ouattara put the Stallions ahead on the stroke of half time. However, the 19-year-old goalscorer turned from hero to villain in the 83rd minute when he was shown a red card for a challenge on Tunisia’s Ali Maaloul.
Despite being reduced to 10 men, Burkina Faso held on to secure their semifinal ticket.
Runners-up in 2013, they will face either Senegal or Equatorial Guinea for a place in the final.
