Rangnick to pocket £8.5m if Haaland joins Man United

Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick will reportedly be given a huge £8.5m bonus if he convinces Erling Haaland to move to Old Trafford.

Haaland, 21, has been at Borussia Dortmund since 2020, where he’s established himself as one of the most lethal forwards in world football. The Norwegian has scored 14 times in 11 appearances across all competitions for Dortmund this season.

Rangnick began his reign as United’s interim manager on Wednesday by assessing the facilities of Old Trafford. Reports say the Manchester United board have faith in German to turn their season around and are ready to hand him up to £100m in January to strengthen his squad.

United are 10th in the Premier League and face fifth-placed Arsenal at Old Trafford on Thursday night.
