Chelsea outclass Leicester to extend lead at the top
Chelsea produced a dominant performance to beat Leicester 3-0 at the King Power Stadium and extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to six points.
The Blues have now extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to nine matches. In the Premier League, they have won nine out of 12 games played (D2, L1), scoring 30 goals and conceding just four in the process. They have gathered 29 points so far – six more than second-placed Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
Thomas Tuchel’s side made a bright start against the Foxes and were already 2-0 up before the 30-minute mark, thanks to strikes from Antonio Rudiger and N’golo Kante.
They would grab another in the 71st minute courtesy through Christian Pulisic to wrap up a convincing display away from home.
For Leicester, it was a third consecutive league game without victory. They are down in 12th – seven points above the relegation zone.
