Ronaldo scores twice to ensure vital point for Man United against Atalanta
Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace, including an injury-time equaliser, to secure a 2-2 draw for Manchester United against Atalanta in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Atalanta went in front early through Josip Ilicic but Ronaldo equalised just before half-time with a fine strike.
Atalanta would go ahead again through Duvan Zapata in the 56th minute and were heading for a full-time win before Ronaldo struck in stoppage time to snatch a point for the Red Devils – who are now up to second in Group F – but level on points (7) with leaders Villarreal, who beat Young Boys 2-0 on the night.
Elsewhere, Group E leaders Bayern Munich defeated Benfica 5-2, while Barcelona claimed their second group stage win with a 1-0 win over Dynamo Kiev.
Chelsea beat Malmö 1-0, while Juventus maintained top spot in Group H with a 4-2 win over Zenith St Petersburg.
