Nigeria international and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has suffered a calf contracture, tests revealed.
The 22-year-old suffered the injury in training and will now undergo a treatment programme.
“Victor Osimhen underwent diagnostic tests at the Pineta Grande clinic on Sunday, which revealed a gastrocnemius contracture in his right calf,” a statement on the club’s website read.
“The player has begun a treatment programme and will be re-assessed over the coming days.”
Osimhen has scored five goals in nine Serie A games for Napoli, who are top of the league table.
