Nigerian midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has said he will not renew his contract with Zalgiris.
The 28-year-old said an offer came for him, which he has accepted.
“I had an offer and it came very fast, I had to accept,” Onazi said. “I will like to thank the President for giving me this opportunity.”
His new club will be revealed soon.
The Nigerian has made 19 league appearances for Zalgiris this year, scoring two goals. He scored a goal in their 2–1 win against Linfield in the Europa League qualifiers back in July.
Onazi made his debut for the Super Eagles in October 2012. He’s made 51 appearance for Nigeria since then, scoring once.
