Madrid beat Barcelona in El-Classico to go top of La Liga

Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 2–1 to claim the win in this season’s first El-Classico and move to the top of the La Liga table on Sunday.
David Alaba put Madrid ahead in the 22nd minute and Lucas Vazquez scored the second in stoppage time. Sergio Aguero, who joined Barca in the summer, pulled one back for his side – his first goal for the club – in the seventh minute of stoppage time, but that couldn’t stop Carlo Ancelloti’s side from taking all three points.
Madrid are now top of the standings with 20 points, while Barca are down in eight – five points below their eternal rivals.
Madrid have now beaten Barca in each of their last three meetings.
