Chelsea demolish Norwich at the Bridge to extend Premier League lead
Chelsea demolished Norwich 7–0 at Stamford Bridge midday on Saturday to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
The Blues have so far won seven of nine games in the league this season (D1, L1) and are clearly in sublime form.
Mason Mount opened the scoring inside eight minutes and by halftime, Thomas Tuchel’s men were already 3–0 up, thanks to strikes from Callum Hodson-Odoi and Reece James.
Ben Chilwell scored the fourth and an own goal from Max Aarons sent Chelsea 5–0 up. Mount would score his second of the game from the penalty spot in the 85th minute and bag his hattrick six minutes later to cap off an absolutely dominant performance on home turf.
Chelsea are now on 22 points – four more than second-placed Liverpool, who are in action against Manchester United on Sunday.
