Newcastle handed Tottenham a 4-0 defeat in the opening Premier League game of the weekend at St James Park.
Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon scored in the first half to put Newcastle 2-0 up.
Isak would score a second six minutes after the restart to stretch their lead before Fabian Schar put the game beyond Spurs reach with a fourth.
The win moves Newcastle up to sixth, while Tottenham remains fifth – 10 points above the Magpies.
It’s Tottenham’s heaviest defeat since a 6-1 loss to Newcastle in April last year.
