Carlos Queiroz has replaced Hossam El Badry as coach of the Egypt national team, the Egyptian Football Association announced on Wednesday.
Queiroz, 68, coached Spanish giants Real Madrid from 2003-2004 and, at international level, managed Portugal, South Africa, Iran and most recently Colombia.
His first games in charge will be home and away to Libya in October, as the Pharaohs of Egypt try to get their World Cup qualifying campaign back on track.
