Ex-Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is now training with Serie B club Calcio Como as his search for a new club continues.
Wilshere has been without a club since his six-month spell at Bournemouth came to an end after the club failed to gain promotion in 2020-21.
Wilshere, 29, has yet to find a new employer for the current season and is now trying to maintain fitness at the Serie B club.
A statement from the Lega B official Twitter account reads: “Jack Wilshere is training with Como led by Jack Gattuso in these hours.
“But he cannot be registered in Serie B because he has a non-EU passport.”
Wilshere was known to be one of the brightest talents at Arsenal, after he burst onto the scene as a teenager in 2008 under Arsene Wenger. However, injury problems began to derail his career.
Arsenal let him go in the summer of 2018 and he went to West Ham, but his fitness problems continued there and he was released in October 2020 before linking up with Bournemouth.
