Griezmann rejoins Atletico Madrid on loan from Barcelona

Antoine Griezmann has rejoined Atletico Madrid on loan from Barcelona.

Griezmann has full agreement on personal terms with Atletico Madrid and a deal has been finalized.

The deal is a season-long loan with an obligation to buy next summer for €40m.

The 30-year-old, who moved to Barcelona in 2019 for €120m, scored 13 goals in 36 league appearances for Barca last season.

Griezmann would have no problems settling in at Atletico as he has already worked under Diego Simeone between 2014 and 2019.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have been trying to lighten their wage bill this summer due to debts amounting to £1.15billion, as confirmed by club president Joan Laporta earlier in August.
