Tottenham maintained their 100% start to the Premier League season with a 1–0 victory over Watford in London on Sunday, thanks to a superb free-kick goal from Heung-Min Son just before half time.

Nuno Santo’s men have now won all three of their league games so far by a 1–0 scoreline. The victory sent them to the top of the league table.

Watford, meanwhile, have now suffered their second straight defeat in the new season.

Elsewhere at the Turf Moor, Leeds United scored a late goal against Burnley to snatch a point away from home.

Chris Wood put Burnley 1–0 up in the 61st minute, but Patrick Bamford would deny them their first win of the season with a strike in the 86th minute to level matters.

Both Burnley and Leeds will try to secure their first three points of the season when club action resumes after the international break.
