Lyon and Liverpool reach agreement for Shaqiri

Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Lyon have reached an agreement in principle with Liverpool for the transfer of Swiss midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.

Shaqiri, who made 14 appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool last season, will arrive Lyon for his medical examination before the transfer is finalized.

Shaqiri has been the number one target for Lyon sporting director Juninho and head coach Peter Bosz, and they have landed the 29-year-old for a fee of £11m.

Having joined Liverpool in the summer of 2018, Shaqiri has appeared 45 times for the Reds.
