Tammy Abraham has finalized his move to Roma from Chelsea, AS Roma announced on Monday. The English striker joined former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho in the Italian capital in a deal worth 40 million Euros.
Roma revealed that the 23-year-old signed a five-year contract and will wear the number nine shirt.
“Roma is a club that deserves to be fighting for titles and trophies,” Abraham said. “I’ve had the experience of winning major trophies and I want to be in those competitions again – so I want to help this team to achieve that and get to the level where Roma should be.”
Abraham will look to be an integral part of the team as they challenge for titles this season under the leadership of Mourinho.
