PSG consider signing Cristiano Ronaldo if Mbappe leaves
According to The newspaper ‘AS’, Paris Saint-Germain could be preparing for the possible departure of Kylian Mbappe next summer with a plan to sign Cristiano Ronaldo as his replacement.
The Qatari backed french club is on a mission to build a team of galacticos and in doing so, they signed Neymar, Mbappe, Verratti and in the current transfer window, have brought to Paris, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum all for free and Achraf Hakimi and the biggest of them all, Lionel Messi. Messi’s arrival in the French capital has shattered European and world football. The Argentinian star, after a whole life at Barcelona, has been forced to decide to try his luck in Ligue 1.
Well, as reported by ‘AS’, the player from Argentina could be joined from next season by none other than his eternal rival, the one with whom he has been competing side by side for more than ten years for the best player in the world award, Cristiano Ronaldo.
AS highlighted that Al-Khelaifi is already making moves for Mbappe’s possible departure from the French club. The young striker’s contract expires in 2022 and report says he has taken the decision not to renew his contract and could be headed to Real Madrid. With this in view, the Portuguese appear to be a more than feasible option.
A dream trident
Just imagine it for a moment and start to fantasise: Neymar-Cristiano-Messi. The three best players of the last decade playing together and forming a truly fantastic attacking trident.
If we only look at the statistics at club level, the figures are already frightening: 326 goals for Neymar between all the clubs he has played for, 678 for Messi and 674 for CR7. Outrageous, unprecedented.
