OFFICIAL: Romelu Lukaku signs for Chelsea

Romelu Lukaku is now a new Chelsea player, returning to England after two years in Italy at Inter Milan. The Belgian forward is returning to Chelsea after two previous attempts did not go as planned. 

Chelsea will pay 115 million euros to Inter, which will make Lukaku one of the most expensive players in the Premier League and the most expensive Chelsea player. He will earn around 12 million a year. 

Lukaku (28) scored 66 goals in 97 games at Inter Milan and provided 18 assists in two seasons. 

The player is already in London and has passed his medicals. He has even posed with his new shirt and said his first words as a Blue player.

“I am happy and blessed to be back at this wonderful club,” said Lukaku. “It has been a long journey for me: I came here as a kid who had a lot to learn, now I am coming back with a lot of experience and more mature.”
