Harry Kane to be available for Tottenham against Manchester City- Manager, Nuno Espirito Santos.
There have been reports in the media linking Harry Kane to Manchester City in the last couple of months. The England striker made it clear he wanted trophies and would like to join a club with genuine chances of winning silverware.
Kane refused to show up for training after an extended post-European Championship break, this heightened speculations over his future and interest from Manchester City.
Kane, 28 years old returned to Hotspur Way on Saturday amid speculation over his future at Tottenham and is quarantining at the club’s training ground hotel, The Lodge, until Thursday.
City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed his interest in Kane, heightening the tension around the Premier League champions’ opening weekend visit to Spurs, but going by the recent statement credited to the Tottenham Hotspurs manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, Harry Kane might not be leaving Tottenham at least, for this season.
Asked about Kane’s availability for the match, Nuno told Sky Sports News: “All the players in the squad that work daily will be options for us, then it’s up to us to decide.”
“First of all, we have to speak,” Nuno said. “This is going to happen today, and after that, we hope to solve all the situations.
“It’s not about that (Kane’s late return), it’s about what we have to do to solve the situation – this is important.
“We have to solve it together. Everybody involved has to solve it together. Speaking, having a nice conversation and putting our opinions, but everybody together.”
Kane, who has scored 166 goals in 245 appearances for Tottenham, signed a six-year contract with Spurs in 2018, but the club’s failure to win and regularly compete for major trophies has led him to seek an exit.
