Yakubu Aiyegbeni Donates High Quality Balls To Benin City Youth League
Former Super Eagles striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni has pledged to donate a number of high quality balls to organizers of the maiden edition of the Benin City Youth league (BYL).
Preparations for the league season is gathering serious pace as the League Management Committe (LMC) of the league and the Federation of Youth Sports Coaches Of Nigeria (FEYSOC) who are the organizers have swung into action to make sure everything is ready for the proposed early August kick off.
The Secretary of the LMC Kenedy Ugbodagha informed Omasports.com Monday afternoon that the former Everton poacher Aiyegbeni is very keen on the success of the competition so that talented young players will have a meaningful avenue to strut their stuff and have a pathway to professional football.
“Mr Aiyegbeni has pledged to provide many balls for the organizers and participating clubs. These balls are high quality balls that will be very useful to the players. We are grateful to have someone like Aiyegbeni showing genuine concern about youth football development in Benin city,” Ugbodagha said.
The secretary appealed to other corporate bodies and individuals to key into the Benin City Youth League by contacting the LMC or FEYSOC.
