Taiwo Awoniyi Honoured As Union Berlin Qualifies For UEFA Europa Conference League

Nigerian forward Taiwo Awoniyi was today celebrated by German club Union Berlin as he completes his loan spell from Liverpool and helped the capital club qualify for European football next season.

Awoniyi joined on loan at the beginning of the season and scored 5 goals and 3 assists to help the club qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League which will start next season.

Awoniyi was presented with a bouquet and effigy before their final match against RB leipzig which they won 2-1, in appreciation of his contribution to the club’s success this season.

He secured his UK work permit earlier this week and will decide on his future in coming weeks with an English Premier League side loan move on the cards.
